Going on a bear hunt-maths-directions

In maths we are learning about directions . We listened to the story we're going on a bear hunt. We placed out the obstacles in the story. We then drew a map of the story. We had to carefully think about the places. Then we had to write directions from the house to the cave. We had to use North, East, South, West.

This week we have been doing locations with Mrs Mc Guinitety for math's strand this is some of the work that we have been doing this one is based on the fairy tail little red riding hood.
It was a bit confusing because we had to put the letter in front of the numbers we had to write the locations above the places we had to find. after that we had to look at the bottom and draw the things at the bottom at a certain location that was written down beside the example picture. The first activity that we did was quite easy but drawing the pictures was pretty hard.In the end i got it right but at first on the second activity i got a bit confused that you had to draw your own pictures but it also had to be the same as the picture at the bottom nobody drew them perfectly but we did it.

pigeon impossible

this week we watched a clip called pigeon impossible where Walter the person was given a case that  had a secret computer inside it and the pigeon got inside the case on accident and made it destroy stuff using lasers and setting stuff on fire and after that Walter knocked the pigeon out of the case.

materials are: paper (square), felts or crayons, pencil or pen

 
 during this learning I learnt how to make a fortune teller
which I found a bit hard at first but in the end It was easy.

• first you fold it in half then unfold and repeat but the other way
• then you fold it in half but pull one corner to the other so it’s folded diagonal
• after that you pull all the corners into the middle to make a square
• then you poke the middle so that it looks like this
• finally you color it in and add the fortunes
